2026 ANNUAL QDR RACE CHALLENGE 

The Queens Crew Cup Challenge is a season-long points competition for Queens-based run crews and clubs, beginning with Immigrants Run NYC and culminating at the Queens Marathon & QDR Half Marathon. Teams earn points by competing across a series of QDR races that prioritize accessibility, community, and borough pride, with standings tracked throughout the year. 

Races currently open for registration include Immigrants Run NYC 5K, Spring Forward 5 & 10 Miler, Filipino Day 4 Mile (Opening Soon), Jackson Heights Mile & Relay, and the QDR Half Marathon, 10K & 5K. 

The Challenge rewards consistency, participation, and depth—celebrating crews that show up for Queens all season long. When you register for races, make sure to indicate which team you will rep! 

Each race will have updated standings published following the event. 

The Men's and Women's first-place team from each race will receive their prize, presented at their regular meetup location so the respective crew can celebrate together.

3 LOOPS = 5K

The 2026 Queens Distance Runners race calendar starts off with our annual event formerly known as "For The Love of Queens 5K". While it will be Valentine's Day, and love will be in the air, we are rebranding this event as an opportunity to advocate for Immigrant Justice, because Immigrants Run NYC.

I attest that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and that my condition has been verified by a licensed medical doctor. DETAILS

QUEENS DISTANCE RUNNERS BELIEVES THAT NYC thrives because of its immigrant communities, and it is essential to create welcoming spaces where all residents can learn about and connect with organizations that empower them. By supporting this race, participants help foster inclusion and access to vital resources while celebrating the diversity Queens IS KNOWN FOR. FOLLOWING event expenses, proceeds will be evenly shared with NICE, furthering their mission to support immigrant workers. A virtual option is also available, allowing more people to join and contribute to this important cause.

Once the starting horn goes off, runners will begin their trip around Flushing Meadows Corona Park, taking in all the iconic sights, including the Queens Unisphere and the New York State Pavilion, which will make for great photo opportunities. We surprised folks at our previous event with hot cocoa, and since IRNYC 5K is a February race, we can advertise that if you are brave enough to race with us, you’ll get hot chocolate! You’ll also have a fun race DJ to jam out to after the race!

AGE GROUP RECOGNITION

  • Top 3 M/F/X Age Groups: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 10-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

BIB PICKUP

Early Bib Pickup: Friday, February 13th from 5pm-7pm. The location will be emailed to registered runners.  

In-Person: Saturday, February 14 starting at 7:30AM at the Queens Unisphere

  • You must know your bib number in order to pick up your bib. If you dont know your bib number there will be a Self Lookup area. 
  • If you register within 24 hours of bib pickup you will be texted your bib  number within 90 seconds or click on Bib Look up above.

Virtual: Shipped to you! Shipping window ranges from one week prior to the event to one week post event.
