All Races START at 8AM, Rain or Shine
QUEENS MARATHON WEEKEND 2026
Queens Marathon Weekend is back — and after ten years, the Queens Marathon is finally making its way out of the park and onto the streets of Queens.
For a decade, Flushing Meadows Corona Park has been the home of the Queens Marathon. It is where this race grew up, where thousands of runners crossed our finish line, and where so many QDR memories were made.
We love Flushing Meadows Corona Park. We want to continue racing there, and it will always hold a special place in our history. But continued flooding around Meadow Lake has forced us to be more aggressive in searching for the next chapter of the Queens Marathon.
And now, we've found it.
THE QUEENS MARATHON IS HEADING TO LONG ISLAND CITY.
On Sunday, December 6, we're planting the Queens Marathon and QDR Half Marathon in Long Island City.
This is a major step forward , but only the beginning. Our hope is to eventually incorporate more neighborhoods and build a true borough-wide Queens Marathon.
We've come a long way.
In 2023, just over 500 runners joined us.In 2024, that grew to more than 1,000.In 2025, Queens Marathon Weekend welcomed more than 2,000 runners and attendees.
What started as a grassroots race has become a marathon weekend built by Queens, for Queens, and that growth has allowed us to give back, including supporting NYC Kids RISE and college savings accounts for thousands of Queens third graders.
We are incredibly thankful to every runner, volunteer, partner and community member who helped us reach this moment.
Flushing Meadows Corona Park will always be part of the Queens Marathon story. Now it's time to write the next chapter.

TRANSPORTATION
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 5 — FLUSHING MEADOWS CORONA PARK
TRAVELING BY CAR: If you are driving, we suggest using the Queens Museum parking lot. Parking may also be available near Queens Theatre, under the Van Wyck Expressway, around Meadow Lake, or along 111th Street. If you are using a car service, please use the Queens Museum as your drop-off point. The Unisphere and start area are located on the other side of the museum.
TRAVELING BY PUBLIC TRANSIT: Take the 7 train to Mets–Willets Point. From the station, it is approximately a 10-minute walk or 4–5 minute jog to the Unisphere and start area.
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 6 — LONG ISLAND CITY
TRAVELING BY CAR: The Queens Marathon & QDR Half Marathon will start near LaGuardia Community College in Long Island City. Because this is now a street race, we strongly recommend public transportation and allowing additional time for road closures and parking restrictions. If you are using a car service, use LaGuardia Community College as your destination and be prepared to walk the final few blocks depending on race-day closures.
TRAVELING BY PUBLIC TRANSIT: LaGuardia Community College is extremely accessible by subway. Take the 7 train to 33rd Street–Rawson Street or the E, M or R to Queens Plaza. The G train to Court Square is another option. From there, runners can walk or use the short distance to the start as part of their warm-up.
IMPORTANT: We recommend arriving at least 60–75 minutes before your race on December 6. This is the first year of our new Long Island City course, and runners should anticipate street closures and additional race-day activity around the start area.
