For over 95 years, the Rotary Club of Somerset has supported humanitarian efforts, locally, nationally, and internationally. We have impacted the lives of thousands and even millions of people by contributing funding and support to a huge array of causes. Key focuses are clean water, sanitation, mother/children’s health, education, peace resolution and disease prevention. Rotary has led the charge in eradicating Polio, which is very close to success.
Rotarians are guided by The Four-Way Test of the things we think, say or do
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concern?
Will it build GOOD WILL and Better FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concern?
Making an impact locally is very important to us! The Rotary Club of Somerset historically has been able to raise and donate back over $25,000 into the local communities annually. This race will be no exception. Funds raised from this race will go back into our local communities.
Laurel Arts was developed in 1975, as the first fully-staffed, rural based arts non-profit in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in Somerset County by offering an array of arts and educational opportunities, and making them accessible to all. From classes to events, preschool programming to art exhibitions, Laurel Arts strives to engage, educate, and connect residents and visitors alike through arts-based opportunities.
