Nor are they transferable from year to year. Once you are signed up, race fees are used for race expenses and cannot be returned.

In consideration of accepting this entry, I understand and agree to be legally bound hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and waive, release and hold harmless Reach for the Stars 5K, NYC Department of Youth & Community Development, elitefeats inc., and any volunteers and all race sponsors and their agents, employees and representatives for any and all injuries, claims, liabilities and causes of action related to my participation in this event. I attest that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and that my condition has been verified by a licensed medical doctor. I further grant permission to any of the foregoing organizations to take and use photographs, video, and recordings or any other record of this event for any purpose whatsoever.

If signed by a parent, the parent agrees to release and hold the above-named organizations and persons harmless of any claims which may be asserted by or on behalf of the entrant as well.

DAY OF SCHEDULE

8:00 AM - Bib Pickup Begins

9:00 AM - 5K Run/Walk event begins -- Community Runners will compete in a closed-course timed 5K to find the community's fastest athletes. Open to those that can complete the run in under 30 minutes (at a pace of 9 mi or faster).

9:30 AM - 3K FUN Run/Walk event begins -- Open to all ages, and all skill levels to join (Strollers welcome!)

10:00 AM - UNTIMED 1K Fun Run/ Walk even begins -- Open to all ages and all skill levels to join (Strollers welcome!)
All children with disabilities must be accompanied by a support or family person

Please plan to arrive ahead of time, the corrals will open 30 minutes before race start time (8:30 AM & 9:00 AM & 9:30 AM)

There is a ferry that leaves every half hour on weekends to and from Wall Street and other areas of Brooklyn and there is an 'R' train that stops nearby at Bay Ridge Avenue, with easy access all of the 5 boroughs.
