Funds are raised for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled. All proceeds will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We really are changing the face of blood cancer!

ABOUT THE RACE
The Massapequa Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot is a community-driven event designed to raise money to fight cancer. Through the efforts of the Turkey Trot’s main benefactor, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), the race has raised thousands of dollars since it’s inception in 2010 to combat blood cancers. All proceeds from the event are given to the LLS.
Three friends, James P. Joseph, Tom Foley, and Brian Griffin, conceived the race as a way to recognize James' bout and subsequent defeat of blood cancer. With the support of their law firms, Joseph Law Group, P.C. and Foley Griffin, LLP., the race has grown into an annual event with many runners, fun runners, and sponsors sustaining the race efforts.
