Queens Distance Runners believes that New York City thrives because of its immigrant communities.
Our diversity is our greatest strength, and we believe in creating welcoming spaces where people of all backgrounds can come together, celebrate their cultures, and connect with organizations that provide essential resources and support.
Join us in February 2027 for the return of Immigrants Run NYC 5K at Flushing Meadows Corona Park! More than just a race, this event celebrates the contributions of immigrant communities that make Queens and New York City extraordinary.
Following event expenses, proceeds will be evenly shared with New Immigrant Community Empowerment (NICE), supporting their mission to empower immigrant workers and strengthen our communities. A virtual race option will also be available for those who want to participate and support the cause from anywhere.
Experience Queens Along the Course!
Once the starting horn sounds, runners will make their way through Flushing Meadows Corona Park, passing some of Queens' most recognizable landmarks, including the iconic Unisphere and New York State Pavilion. Whether you're chasing a personal best, running with friends, or participating in your first 5K, this is an opportunity to celebrate the borough we call home.
And yes, it's February in New York City! If you're brave enough to take on the winter temperatures, we'll have hot chocolate waiting for you at the finish line! Stick around afterward for music from our race DJ, great photo opportunities, and a celebration of the communities that make NYC special.
