In consideration of accepting this entry, I understand and agree to be legally bound hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and waive, release and hold harmless Ridgewood Reservoir 5K Run/Walk, elitefeats inc., and any volunteers and all race sponsors and their agents, employees and representatives for any and all injuries, claims, liabilities and causes of action related to my participation in this event. I attest that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and that my condition has been verified by a licensed medical doctor. I further grant permission to any of the foregoing organizations to take and use photographs, video, and recordings or any other record of this event for any purpose whatsoever.

If signed by a parent, the parent agrees to release and hold the above-named organizations and persons harmless of any claims which may be asserted by or on behalf of the entrant as well.

BIB PICKUP

Check-in and bib pickup will be open from 8:00–8:45 AM. Please arrive early to collect your bib and find your starting group. Check-in closes at 8:45 AM, and the race starts at 9:00 AM sharp.

Have your bib number ready for pickup. You can find it using the Bib Lookup link.

See event staff starting 1 hour before the event. Register 3 weeks in advance for a personalized bib. Bib number required for pickup; use Self Lookup or Bib Lookup if needed. Last-minute registrants (within 24 hours) will receive their bib number by text within 90 seconds.

COURSE

Complete three loops around the historic Ridgewood Reservoir while running or walking through one of Highland Park’s unique natural spaces. Built in 1858 to supply water to the former City of Brooklyn, the reservoir’s three basins have since transformed into a 50-acre green oasis. Participants will have an opportunity to experience the site’s history, water ecology, and natural beauty.

MORE ABOUT THE EVENT

NYC H2O’s mission is to inspire and educate New Yorkers of all ages to learn about, enjoy, and protect the city’s local water ecology. This 5K brings our community together to explore Ridgewood Reservoir, appreciate its history, and support NYC H2O’s environmental education and stewardship programs.

Run Sustainably: Our hydration station will feature reusable Cup Zero cups to help reduce single-use waste. Look out for the special Cup Zero collection bins after you hydrate!

Race for a cause: Connect with the NYC H2O community and compete for special race-day prizes from Patagonia.
