Nor are they transferable from year to year. Once you are signed up, race fees are used for race expenses and cannot be returned.
In consideration of your accepting this entry, I, the undersigned, intending to be legally bound, hereby, for myself, my heirs, my executors and administrators acknowledge and agree that I am voluntarily and knowingly assuming all risks and injuries which are inherent in, or which may arise from my voluntary participation in this event. I further hereby knowingly and voluntarily waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages that I have or may ever have against the Community Chest of Port Washington, the Port Washington, Sands Point and Nassau County Police Departments, the Port Washington Fire Department, the County of Nassau, the Town of North Hempstead, elitefeats, all event sponsors, officers, directors, agents and employees of all of the above for all injuries or damages suffered by me arising from or caused by my participation in said event. I attest and verify that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the completion of the event and that my physical condition has been verified by a licensed Medical Doctor. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I attest that I have read the rules of the race, including the terms in this waiver and agree to abide by them. Further, I hereby grant permission to use, and release said rights to any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any purpose whatsoever and understand that I will receive no compensation of any form in connection therewith. I understand that this event does not provide for refunds in the event of a cancellation, and by signing this waiver, I consent that I am not entitled to a refund if the event is cancelled before or during the event.
If signed by a parent, the parent agrees to release and hold the above-named organizations and persons harmless of any claims which may be asserted by or on behalf of the entrant as well.
