The Iron Girl Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring the memory of Alexea "Lex" Karpinski by supporting high school student-athletes through scholarship programs. Its mission is to inspire these athletes to create a positive, lasting impact that influences their teammates, families, and communities, while rewarding those who embody a spirit of grit, tenacity, and humility. To date, IGP has awarded 30 students with $2,253 each for their secondary education, vocational school or the military.
Alexea "Lex" Karpinski was a dedicated student-athlete at Hunterdon Central Regional High School in New Jersey, where she excelled as a goalie in both field hockey and lacrosse. She was also a Girl Scout, St. Hubert's volunteer and member of the Connect Club. Known for her resilience and compassionate leadership, she was a "workout warrior" and active community volunteer who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 17 in November 2020.

Iron Girl Project, Inc. (IGP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that raises funds to support high school student athletes who make a difference on and off the athletic field.
Registration fees are used toward race expenses and cannot be returned once you sign up.
