Join Care For the Homeless for our Homeless Awareness 5K Run/Walk, bringing the community together to raise awareness and critical funds for people experiencing homelessness in New York City. Participants can run or walk a scenic 5K course in beautiful Riverside Park. Interested in a timed certified race? We have you covered with official timed results provided by Elite Feats. Bring your family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues to enjoy a morning of community and purpose. The Kids Fun Run will kick off the event and is the perfect way for children and families to start the morning with energy, excitement, and community spirit. This is a true community event — everyone is welcome. Every step supports Care For the Homeless and helps move New Yorkers from crisis to stability.

Since 1985, Care For the Homeless has helped New Yorkers experiencing homelessness move from crisis to stability by providing integrated whole-person healthcare, shelter, and supportive services—regardless of their ability to pay. As one of the nation’s first healthcare providers for the homeless, we care for the whole person, laying out a foundation of hope for those in need.

Fundraising is not required, but it is encouraged. Each participant will receive a welcome email with a link to create a personal fundraising page to support Care For the Homeless and expand our impact. You can participate as an individual, join an existing team, or create your own team, and raise funds together with friends, family, or colleagues.
FUNDRAISING INCENTIVES:
Every dollar raised helps Care For the Homeless provide critical healthcare, shelter, and support services to those in need.
• Raise $100: Receive a T-shirt• Raise $250: Receive a T-shirt and water bottle• Raise $500 or more: Receive a T-shirt, water bottle, and special gift (to be announced)• Top 3 fundraisers will receive additional prizes (to be announced).
