The 10 Mile Brewery Run in Memory of Ric DiVeglio boasts a scenic, flat USATF certified course, and the best post race celebration on Long Island.  Participants will race ten miles and then enjoy a variety of complimentary Blue Point beer, post-race food, and live music.

Each team can field ONE of each of the team divisions Male, Female & Co-ed.

  • In memory of Ric Diveglio, who dreamed up this event and directed it for years: It is the wish of the Diveglio Family that we honor Ric's memory by choosing Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as a charitable beneficiary. The Diveglios credit the fabulous care at MSKCC to the extra time they were able to spend with Ric over the last decade, and they want to make sure that other families get to spend as much time with their critically ill loved ones as they can, too.

  • Enhance the quality of life for families of the local communities through outreach, education, recreation, counseling, and support services.

  • To defeat Childhood Cancer through Awareness, Advocacy and Support.

In consideration of accepting this entry, I understand and agree to be legally bound hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and waive, release and hold harmless The 16th Annual 10 Mile Brewery Run in Memory of Ric DiVeglio, The Sandbar, GLIRC, elitefeats inc., and any volunteers and all race sponsors and their agents, employees and representatives for any and all injuries, claims, liabilities and causes of action related to my participation in this event. I attest that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and that my condition has been verified by a licensed medical doctor. I further grant permission to any of the foregoing organizations to take and use photographs, video, and recordings or any other record of this event for any purpose whatsoever.

If signed by a parent, the parent agrees to release and hold the above-named organizations and persons harmless of any claims which may be asserted by or on behalf of the entrant as well.

BIB PICKUP

Bib Numbers will be listed HERE approximately two hours prior to bib pick up.

Thursday, January 15th - 3pm-8pm
Friday, January 16th - 2pm-7pm

Happy Hour Pricing ($6 pints) and a $10 Happy Hour Wing and Fry special for everyone picking up a bib!

Day of Race: 6:45am to 8:00am in the tent at The Sandbar

  • You must know your bib number in order to pick up your bib. If you do not know your bib number there will be a Self Lookup area. 

COURSE

Please note that there is a 2 hour and 15 minute cutoff time. You must be able to finish the 10 mile course in this time, or you will be asked to move to the side of the road without traffic safety support and will not be given a finish time. Our permit only allows us to close the roads until 10:30am.

PARKING & PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

Public transport to the Patchogue LIRR station is highly encouraged! The station is located on Division Ave and is approximately a 12-minute walk to The Sandbar and the start line. See the map below for approved parking areas. Please be respectful to Blue Point's neighbors and the surrounding community, and do not park outside of these areas.

Parking will be available at the following locations:
- River Ave School, 46 River Avenue, Patchogue
- Patchogue LIRR Train Station, Division Street, Patchogue
- Court House, 150 West Main Street, Patchogue
- Fire Island National Seashore (FINS), 160 West Avenue, Patchogue
