Nor are they transferable from year to year. Once you are signed up, race fees are used for race expenses and cannot be returned.

In consideration of your accepting this entry, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages I may have against Westchester County Board of Legislators, Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation & Conservation, County/Yonkers Police Departments, 5k Run Walk Committee, Westchester Medical Center, Yonkers City Council, elitefeats inc, its employees, the sponsors, the volunteers, or City of Yonkers in which the race is contested, their representatives, successors and assignees for any and all injuries including, but without limitation, any claims for personal injuries resulting from or arising out of the negligence of the above named parties suffered by me in said event. I further acknowledge the presence of strollers and dogs on the race course and expressly assume all the risks of injury and damage associated with participation in such a race, including but not limited to, those risks generally associated with running on a trail open to the public. Further I attest and certify that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained for competition in this event and my physical condition has been verified by a licensed medical doctor. I agree not to cover or alter my running number in any way on pain of disqualification, and acknowledge that my entry fee is nonrefundable, including if the race is canceled because of an act of nature. I further grant permission to any of the foregoing organizations to take and use photographs, video, and recordings or any other record of this event for any purpose whatsoever.

If signed by a parent, the parent agrees to release and hold the above-named organizations and persons harmless of any claims which may be asserted by or on behalf of the entrant as well.
