Queens made history on November 17, 2024, hosting over 1,000 runners for the first time in QDR history. Thank you for helping build a running culture that reflects the energy and diversity of our borough. Our milestone was proudly highlighted in local outlets including the Queens Chronicle, QNS, and the Queens Gazette.

Now we look ahead to the 2025 Queens Marathon and QDR Half Marathon as we work to bring these races fully onto the streets of Queens. Your registration supports this vision and helps fund NYC Scholarship Accounts for every 3rd grader in Queens through NYC Kids Rise. If you can’t attend, you can still contribute by donating directly AT THIS LINK.

Revised Course Update

(12/6 Update) Safety comes first - and due to icy, unsafe conditions around Meadow Lake, several sections of the original course became too hazardous to run. After consulting with Parks and our operations team, we’ve made the call to shift to a fully ice-free, spectator-friendly loop around the Unisphere area. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Your safety—and your race experience—will always come before anything else.

The updated course is 3.27 miles per loop, measured today and currently being finalized for Boston-qualifying certification. The new format is:

Marathon 8 Loops

Half Marathon 4 Loops

World’s Borough Invitational Relay  2 Loops per leg

We’re keeping things fast, fun, and fully supported with two dedicated water tables serving Pocari Sweat and water every loop. Expect wide, clear paths, energetic cheer zones, and an electric Unisphere-centered atmosphere from start to finish.

Medal Update

Unfortunately, medals were held up at customs due to tariff inspections and will need to be mailed to runners after the race or organize meetups with local run crews. We promise they’re worth the wait and will get them to you as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your understanding, your resilience, and your Queens spirit. Let’s run!
