Every single day, more than twenty US veterans die by suicide. Tragically, approximately every 26 seconds someone attempts suicide.

The causes are as unique and varied as the veterans themselves. Operation VEST’s mission is to eradicate suicide one at a time by addressing the different needs of our veteran population. We aim to create awareness and remove the stigma surrounding mental health so our veterans and active military can heal.

Operation VEST works alongside other local organizations and with veterans to help our heroes fight the battle within. We believe we can achieve this by working TOGETHER!!

In consideration of accepting this entry, I understand and agree to be legally bound hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and waive, release and hold harmless 22 Degree Run & Plunge 2.2M, Walker Park, The Village of Brightwaters, elitefeats inc., and any volunteers and all race sponsors and their agents, employees and representatives for any and all injuries, claims, liabilities and causes of action related to my participation in this event. I attest that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and that my condition has been verified by a licensed medical doctor. I further grant permission to any of the foregoing organizations to take and use photographs, video, and recordings or any other record of this event for any purpose whatsoever.

If signed by a parent, the parent agrees to release and hold the above-named organizations and persons harmless of any claims which may be asserted by or on behalf of the entrant as well.

BIB PICKUP

Pre-Race Day: Thursday, January 23rd - 5-8 pm at Wohseepee Park Cabin, N Windsor Ave, Brightwaters, NY 11718

Race Day: 9:00 AM Walker Park

Day of Registration:
Cash/Check/Charge accepted.

  • Hurry; Register 3 weeks in advance to get a personalized Race Number!
  • You must know your bib number in order to pick up your bib. If you do not know your bib number there will be a Self Lookup area. 
  • If you register within 24 hours of bib pickup you will be texted your bib number within 90 seconds or click on Bib Lookup above.

Virtual: If you don't get your bib in the mail, please use the live chat at elitefeats.com, and we'll send a new one after confirming your shipping address (include an apartment number if applicable)

Parking
Parking will be in lots across from the park. enter lot from S Bay Ave and Bayway Ave. Both Avenues are accessible from Montauk Hwy. Concourse West will be closed at 9:15am. 

Bathrooms
Park restrooms are closed and winterized for the season. 3 portable toilets will be on site.

Changing Station
4 individual pop up tents on site for a quick clothing change.

DIRECTIONS

Southern State Parkway to Robert Mosses Causeway south (exit 40 - S) to Route 27A (Montauk Highway east - Exit RM2E). After 1.8 miles, turn right onto Bay Way Avenue and continue to the end.
