The Dime McCarren 5K, originally launched in Greenpoint/Williamsburg by St. Nicks Alliance in 2012 as a 5K run/walk to engage the community and raise money for local youth education. It swiftly captured the feet and hearts of local runners and walkers including powerhouse running club, North Brooklyn Runners (NBR). Feet dig into this rousing route that takes them to the water's edge and through new and old neighborhood charms. The heart part is there is no healthier way to support a great local cause: the registration fee supports St. Nicks Alliance's very cool transformational and impactful services to low-income seniors, youth, and adults in N Brooklyn!
