All participants are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items for the ELC Food Pantry located in Northport when they check-in the morning of the run. The ELC is especially in need of:

Peanut Butter & Jelly
Spaghetti Sauce
Spaghetti
Canned Tuna
Canned Chicken
Personal care items including bars of soap

Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk County (VNSHS) is an independent, not-for-profit health care agency that serves patients and their families throughout Suffolk County with visiting nurse home and hospice, inpatient Hospice House, rehabilitative therapy, medical social work, home health aide care, nutritional education and diabetic counseling, community programs and more.

Nor are they transferable from year to year. Once you are signed up, race fees are used for race expenses and cannot be returned.

In consideration of accepting this entry, I understand and agree to be legally bound hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and waive, release and hold harmless VNSHS Run For the Health of It 5K, Visiting Nurse Services & Hospice of Suffolk Inc., The Town of Northport, elitefeats inc., and any volunteers and all race sponsors and their agents, employees and representatives for any and all injuries, claims, liabilities and causes of action related to my participation in this event. I attest that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and that my condition has been verified by a licensed medical doctor. I further grant permission to any of the foregoing organizations to take and use photographs, video, and recordings or any other record of this event for any purpose whatsoever.

If signed by a parent, the parent agrees to release and hold the above-named organizations and persons harmless of any claims which may be asserted by or on behalf of the entrant as well.

BIB PICKUP

In-Person: Please see the event staff starting one hour before the event start time.

  • Hurry; Register 3 weeks in advance to get a personalized Race Number!
  • You must know your bib number in order to pick up your bib. If you do not know your bib number there will be a Self Lookup area. 
  • If you register more than 24 hours in advance, your bib number will be texted or emailed to you at least 2 hours prior to bib pickup.
  • If you register within 24 hours of bib pickup please bring your confirmation email, either on your phone or printed, in order to be assigned a bib.

Virtual: Are shipped to you! Shipping window ranges from one week prior to the event to one week post event.

Virtual: If you don't get your bib in the mail, please use the live chat at elitefeats.com, and we'll send a new one after confirming your shipping address (include an apartment number if applicable)

COURSE

This 5K is a USATF Certified 5K (3.1miles) course through beautiful residential roads of Northport.

Police traffic control, Volunteers & Split Clocks for each Mile. 

Water station available approximately mid-way near the East end of Oak Street.

Challenging rolling hills course includes 1.6K of the historic Cow Harbor course.
