Sgt. Dennis Vaccaro, a beloved husband, brother, son, friend, and military veteran who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident in the summer of 2023. Despite sustaining fatal injuries, Dennis was kept on life support for organ donation, embodying his legacy of selflessness and saving lives. Known for his positivity, outgoing nature, and adventurous spirit, Dennis had a profound impact on everyone he encountered. As a United States Army Sgt. and Combat Medic, he served for five years, including a deployment in Afghanistan, where his Army comrades admired his unique charisma, humor, and unwavering reliability. Sad Company was founded by Dennis with the message of "Celebrate the good times, and be there for your buddies during the bad." Proceeds from Sad Company merchandise and all donations will benefit the Dennis A. Vaccaro Foundation, a non-profit supporting Veterans with mental health, education, and reacclimating to civilian life. The legacy he started, brothers helping brothers, will live on.

Lutheran Church of the Reformation Food Pantry of West Long Branch will be collecting non perishable food items. Each participant who brings an item will be given a free raffle ticket.

In consideration of accepting this entry, I understand and agree to be legally bound hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and waive, release and hold harmless Dennis Vaccaro Memorial 5K Run/Walk, elitefeats inc., and any volunteers and all race sponsors and their agents, employees and representatives for any and all injuries, claims, liabilities and causes of action related to my participation in this event. I attest that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and that my condition has been verified by a licensed medical doctor. I further grant permission to any of the foregoing organizations to take and use photographs, video, and recordings or any other record of this event for any purpose whatsoever.

If signed by a parent, the parent agrees to release and hold the above-named organizations and persons harmless of any claims which may be asserted by or on behalf of the entrant as well.

BIB PICKUP

Day of: Please see the event staff starting at 8AM.

Early T-Shirt & Bib Pickup: Available on 5/26 at Boro Hall: 965 Broadway, West Long Branch, NJ 07764 12-3pm

  • Hurry; Register 3 weeks in advance to get a personalized Race Number!
  • You must know your bib number in order to pick up your bib. If you do not know your bib number there will be a Self Lookup area. 
  • If you register more than 24 hours in advance, your bib number will be texted or emailed to you at least 2 hours prior to bib pickup.
  • If you register within 24 hours of bib pickup please bring your confirmation email, either on your phone or printed, in order to be assigned a bib.

Virtual: Your bib will be shipped to you. Please be sure you provide your shipping address while registering. 

If you don't get your bib in the mail, please use the live chat at elitefeats.com, and we'll send a new one after confirming your shipping address (include an apartment number if applicable)

COURSE

Course is mostly flat around Franklin lake and through the neighborhood of West Long Branch.

Start location front of WLB community center. Finish is behind the Community center. 

Parking is available in the back entrance Shore Regional High School (off of Parker) short walk to community center.
