Nor are they transferable from year to year. Once you are signed up, race fees are used for race expenses and cannot be returned.

In consideration of accepting this entry, I understand and agree to be legally bound hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and waive, release and hold harmless South Salem Races Memorial Day, South Salem, elitefeats inc., and any volunteers and all race sponsors and their agents, employees and representatives for any and all injuries, claims, liabilities and causes of action related to my participation in this event. I attest that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and that my condition has been verified by a licensed medical doctor. I further grant permission to any of the foregoing organizations to take and use photographs, video, and recordings or any other record of this event for any purpose whatsoever.

If signed by a parent, the parent agrees to release and hold the above-named organizations and persons harmless of any claims which may be asserted by or on behalf of the entrant as well.

AWARDS

Five Events are offered on Memorial Day: The 10K and 5K courses are U.S.A. Track and Field certified which allows the running times to be accepted as a record and nationally ranked.

5K AWARDS

  • Top 3 M/F Overall
  • Top 3 M/F Age Groups: 8 & Under, 9+10, 11+12, 13+14, 15 -19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

10K AWARDS

  • Top 3 M/F Overall
  • Top 3 M/F Age Groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

CHALLENGE RUN

For those that are up for the 10K at 8:00 a.m., you can also run the 5K at 9:30 a.m. for only $50!  Your time for each separate race will be posted race day and we will also combine your 5K and 10K race times for your “Challenge” time.  10K & 5K Combination Awards will be presented for the Top 3 M/F winners

MILE FUN RUN

  • Youth can find out if they can run a mile and how fast!
  • Top 1 M/F Overall
  • Top 3 M/F Age Groups: 8 & Under, 9+10 and 11+12
  • All participants receive a festive ribbon and t-shirt

BIB PICKUP

DAY OF RACE PACKET PICKUP 

The Lewisboro Library serves as the base camp on race day.
15 Main Street, South Salem, NY 10590 & registration begins 7:00 AM

  • Hurry; Register 3 weeks in advance to get a personalized Race Number!

Virtual: Are shipped to you! Shipping window ranges from one week prior to the event to one week post event.

COURSES

DIRECTIONS & PARKING

In New York: From Rt. 684 (Exit 6) or Saw Mill: East on Rt. 35 about 8 miles. Pass Yellow Monkey Village on left, straight thru traffic light. Pass Mobil and after Fire House on left, take first left onto Spring Street. Left onto Main Street at 1st intersection. Library tenth of mile on right.

In Connecticut: Rts. 7, 33 or 123. Drive West on Rt. 35. About 1 mile past South Salem Animal Hospital, turn right onto Spring Street and proceed as above.

Parking is available at the library. You can also park in the Spring Street parking lot near the police station or along portions of Spring and Main Street. The Library is just a short walk north from the South Salem Presbyterian Church.
