FERRY
The ferry will depart the Governors Island Ferry Terminal/Battery Maritime Building, 10 South Street, NY, NY (adjacent to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal) at 8 a.m. sharp. Runners MUST be on this ferry.
The ferry operates between the Battery Maritime Building (BMB) in Lower Manhattan and Soissons Dock on Governors Island. The trip is approximately 8 minutes in duration.
GETTING TO THE BMB
Subway: 1 Train to South Ferry, the R train to Whitehall/South Ferry, or the 4 or 5 train to Bowling Green.
Bus: Service to Lower Manhattan includes: M5, M20, M15, BM1, BM2, BM3, BM4.

BOARDING
Runners will need their Oyster Classic bib to board, and all spectators will need their NYHOC '24 bracelets. Oyster Classic staff will be on hand that morning to hand out bracelets or ID to board the ferry. The race will start at 9 a.m.
GETTING OFF THE FERRY
On the island, just off the ferry, you'll find directions to the NY Harbor School, and the start/finish line. Bag check* and toilets will be available in the same area.
The New York Oyster Classic 5K is rain or shine and we are unable to offer registration refunds.

Water tables with cups will be available at the start and the finish areas. Bring a water bottle with you to fill up at the island's water filing stations along the course. We’ll meet you and your spectators at the finish line with bagels , cream cheese and fresh fruit.

All proceeds directly benefit the NY Harbor School PTA and it's support of the school's programs, working to restore the waters of New York Harbor, while training the next generation of pilots, divers, engineers, marine technicians, climate change specialists and marine biologists.
