COURSE

In an earnest attempt to ensure runner safety, and out of an abundance of caution, we have re-routed the City Manager's 10 Mile Trophy Run.  When Ralph Kaplan designed this course some fifty-plus years ago, not many people traveled, much less moved their cars at 8:00am on Sunday morning of Memorial Day Weekend.  Not the case today, and over the past two years, the challenges of covering all the intersections of this vast course in as timely of an effort as is required left us no choice.  Gone are the long eastbound stretch of Olive Street and the loop of West Hudson, however, this year the 10-Mile Race To Remember will feature a new loop on Broadway and the scenic beauty of our Boardwalk twice.

The Department of Parks & Recreation and the Long Beach Police Department worked collaboratively on this effort and we trust that you will enjoy this new safer and more scenic route through town.

Registration will take place at Laurelton Boulevard and the Boardwalk, similar to a number of our other Races, and we'll walk up to Park Avenue to start.

  1. Start at Laurelton & Park (one block west of the original start)
  2. Laurelton & Park westbound to Connecticut Avenue
  3. South on Connecticut to Oceanview
  4. East on Oceanview to NY
  5. South on NY to Boardwalk
  6. East on Boardwalk to Neptune
  7. North on Neptune to Shore Rd
  8. East on Shore Rd to Pacific
  9. North on Pacific to East Broadway westbound ( with traffic )
  10. East on Broadway to Washington Blvd
  11. Left shoulder turn on Washington to West Broadway
  12. eastbound ( with traffic )
  13. East on Broadway to Neptune
  14. South on Neptune to Boardwalk
  15. West on Boardwalk to Laurelton ( FINISH )
