In consideration of accepting this entry, I understand and agree to be legally bound hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and waive, release and hold harmless The Classic Apple Pie HM & 5K, Veterans Pier, The Borough of Brooklyn, elitefeats inc., and any volunteers and all race sponsors and their agents, employees and representatives for any and all injuries, claims, liabilities and causes of action related to my participation in this event. I attest that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and that my condition has been verified by a licensed medical doctor. I further grant permission to any of the foregoing organizations to take and use photographs, video, and recordings or any other record of this event for any purpose whatsoever.

If signed by a parent, the parent agrees to release and hold the above-named organizations and persons harmless of any claims which may be asserted by or on behalf of the entrant as well.

AMENITIES

'Informal' bag check as elitefeats cannot take responsibility for any personal belongings. There will be an informal area to leave race belongings in the staging area.

Bathrooms are located within a few minutes walk from start & finish.

Hydration will be provided at finish line.

Virtual Option: Compete virtually. You have from the first day of the event and a full week to log your time and up to 5 photos! Your items will begin shipping the first day of the event. More info at the bottom of the page.

COURSE

5K Run/Walk is One loop Out + Back along the shore. Begin running South and U-Turn at the 5K U-Turn Sign. ALL 5K & Half Marathon 9:00AM Start - 2:45hr Cutoff

The Half Marathon is a 4 loop course with 2 U-Turns. One U-Turn is past the 5K U-Turn and the second U-Turn is approximately 30ft from the Start/Finish. There will be a water/hydration station at the U-Turn closest to the S/F and at the Start/Finish for Half Marathoners only!

Half Marathon 9:00AM Start - 2:45hr Cutoff

*IMPORTANT HM MESSAGE: Must run through  BOTH turnaround checkpoints for EACH loop for accurate split & finish times. See map below.

GETTING YOUR BIB

Virtual: Your bib will be mailed directly to you as soon as the race gear arrives, which may be close to the race date. Please allow 3-5 days to receive after signing up late. If you don't get your bib in the mail by race day, please use the live chat at elitefeats.com to confirm your shipping address (include an apartment number if applicable)

In-Person options: 
Please see the event staff starting one hour before the event start time.

Have your bib mailed to you prior to the race for $10! *(must be registered 10 days in advance to get a bib mailed)

Wearing Your Bib: The mid-torso is the sweet spot for accurate results. Please be sure to wear your bib just above your belly button, right side up, for best read-rates. Do not fold, crumple or cut your bib in any way. It must be visible to onlookers and not get in the way of your arms/legs. Please use four pins, or four alternative-securing gear such as race magnets, in each corner to ensure proper placement and visibility.
