BENEFITS

Charles Scott Edwards, known as both Charles and Scott depending on how you met, was a 2013 graduate of Lathrop High School where he was involved in theater, band, and JROTC. He was an Eagle Scout, a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, and a huge fan of the New England Patriots. He had chosen to dedicate his life to working with adults with developmental disabilities, and his favorite saying was "life is too short to only care about yourself". Sadly, on March 16, 2021, at the age of 26, while on his way home from the Residential Care Facility where he worked, he was killed in a head on collision. He had a lot left to give and raising money through this run/walk is our way of continuing his legacy as we plan to choose a different organization that meant a lot to him to direct the proceeds to each year. This year's funds will go to his beloved JROTC Spartan Battalion, where he served as the Battalion Commander his senior year of High School.
