ABOUT
DFQ.
Simple but not easy. For many of our service members that have transitioned into civilian life, the option to quit has become a real solution. The DFQ 22 DU is meant to prove that if you do not quit, you can achieve what once seemed impossible. We will journey through a 9 mile run, a 9 mile ruck (This year there is no weight minimum for ruck or weighted vest), and a 4 mile run to finish it off; to prove you will not quit! DON’T F*&%ING QUIT!
The 9 Mile Run is dedicated to those members of the armed services that we’ve lost in combat. We have several Gold Star Families on Long Island who epitomize the grit it takes to keep going. They DFQ.
The 9 Mile Ruck is to remember those lost to suicide. To remember their pain, and to wish we could still have them with us.
The final 4 Mile Run is dedicated to you. Celebrate your achievements. Look back on some things that you have not quit on. Finish strong, for them, for you. Never quit. Don’t F*&%ING Quit!
For the fundraising option, it is your chance to support Project9Line in our ever-growing mission to introduce arts and activities to Veterans. Through Arts and Activities, we have truly shown that we can cure post traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, and many other mental health issues. If you’re unsure if you can fundraise, we do have the pay up front option that will also help our mission. This event, while expensive, will give you some top tier swag and ultimately a sense of pride. Pride for finishing, pride for ending veteran suicide.
